Happy Palm Sunday, the first day of Holy Week

To prepare our hearts for Holy Week consider watching the video on the Flocknote email of a video on Jesus’ suffering, death, and Resurrection from the series Catholicism 101ย with Rachel Bulman with these questions in mind:ย
- Do you believe that you would have stood apart from the crowd in crying for Jesus to be crucified? ย Would you have been silent? ย Would you have joined them?
- What are the “seven last words” of Christ?
- Why is the resurrection of Christ so central to what our faith is about?
“Holy Spirit, let the grace of this Holy Week change my heart”
Did you miss Deacon Tom’s homily last week on “Come Out of Your Tomb”? ย See it below.
THIS COMING WEEK
- Check out the Holy Week & Easter Schedule and Resources. ย Here is what you can find on the webpage.

It even tells you exactly where to look in each Gospel if you want to read the text for yourself.)

- Each Day of Holy Week Reflection

- Posting of the Homilies from the Easter Triduum
There is No Regular Eucharistic Adoration during Holy Week
- Eucharist Adoration on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday willย notย be taking place this week. ย Come and spend time with Jesus from 8:30pm through Midnight on Holy Thursday Repository; adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. ย This is immediately following the Mass of the Lord’s Supper.
- Jesus asked that the Feast of Divine Mercy, known today as Divine Mercy Sunday which is on 4/24, be preceded by a Novena to The Divine Mercy. A Novena is nine days of prayer in preparation for a feast. In the case of the Novena to The Divine Mercy, we pray the Chaplet of The Divine Mercy each day for a specific intention.ย Our Lord told St. Faustina, “I desire that during these nine days you bring souls to the fountain of My mercy, that they may draw … strength and refreshment and whatever grace they need in the hardships of life, and especially at the hour of death” (Diary, 1209).
- Please join us as we follow our Lord’s wish to bring to Him various intentions during our nine days of prayer. ย Sign up to receive the Divine Mercy Novena in your Inbox here.
