What is L.I.G.H.T. Youth Ministry?
The L.I.G.H.T. (Living in God’s Holy Truth) program is designed to nourish and strengthen faith formation during all four years of high school. The activities within the program are geared toward strengthening the high school teens’ relationship with Jesus, increasing their desire to serve and affirming their understanding of the Catholic Church.
The L.I.G.H.T. program encompasses four “Basic” faith themes: Profession of Faith, Sacraments of Faith, Life of Faith, and Prayer in the Life of Faith. Through thought-provoking discussions, faith sharing small groups, CHOSEN sacramental preparation, youth group activities, retreats, social activities, and service and discipleship projects, the teens will understand that faith is a journey for life and that the sacrament of Confirmation becomes part of the journey — not the end of the journey.

Upcoming News…
- Sign-up for CHOSEN Confirmation Prep program is still open! All new students (Year 1) and returning students (Year 2) will need to register to begin the program this year. Please see the Faith Formation registration link above.
- REFUGE Teen Youth Group will be on Sunday, Sept. 22nd from 3:16-5:16pm in the youth center. Join us for prayer, fun games and socializing, food, faith topics and discussion! All high school teens welcome!
- CHOSEN Year 1 Kick-Off Parent/Teen Meeting is Sunday, September 22nd at 7:00-8:00pm in the Church. This is required for all new year 1 teens and at least 1 parent to attend. Student folders, workbooks and important information on the process will be given out at this meeting.
- CHOSEN Year 2 Teen Kick-Off is Sunday, September 29th from 6:30-8:15pm in the PLC multipurpose room. (For Teens who were in the CHOSEN program last year 2023-2024). This kick-off will include games, socializing with friends, re-connecting with their Chosen group, prayer and information to start the year. This event is just for the teens to attend.
