Unbound Prayer Ministry

It is for freedom Christ has set us free.  Stand fast therefore and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

Galatians 5:1

What if you could reach out and …

…and touch God’s love, and never be the same?

EVERYONE IS FIGHTING AN INVISIBLE BATTLE…

  • negative thoughts, secret sins, and unhealthy relationships
  • destructive habits, idols, and false identities
  • resentments and bitter wounds that never seem to heal
We need to process what we’ve been through.

From a number of things from our past or from our time these past several years, that we had either forgotten about or had never really dealt with.

With these in mind and our vision of providing ways to encounter Jesus, grow as disciples, and experience more power for mission, we encourage you to receive Unbound Prayer Ministry.

What is the Unbound Prayer Ministry?

Unbound Prayer Ministry releases the power of Jesus into wounded hearts.

Unbound is a ministry of freedom and healing that helps us to release the Power of the Gospel into our lives.

We all have areas in our lives where we don’t experience freedom. These can be patterns of habitual sin, addictions, negative thoughts, resentments, wounds, burdens we carry that weigh us down, and other forms of spiritual difficulty.

Jesus came to set us free by breaking the power of sin and revealing the love of God.

Through reading the first seven chapters of Unbound: A Practical Guide to Deliverance Freedom and then receiving Unbound Prayer Ministry, you will learn how to unlock your prison doors by using the Five Keys To Freedom.

The purpose of this is two-fold.

  • First, so you can receive the foundational teaching of Unbound in the first seven chapters.
  • Second, so you have the opportunity to receive ministry from a team trained to use the Unbound model. (This ministry team received and participated in preparation and training sessions.)

Preparing for Unbound Prayer

Dear Friend,

We on the Unbound Joliet team are delighted that you are receptive and desirous for ministry. We want to help you take hold of the freedom given to you in Jesus Christ. One person wrote after their prayer session:

“My experience of being prayed for by a Heart of the Father Ministries prayer team was an experience of being loved. It was very peaceful. I never felt intimidated or pressured in any way. The discernment and love of the team led me to an experience of freedom that I have never felt before. I recommend this type of prayer for anyone who wishes to be free of bondages.”

This is our desire for you as well.

You will meet with a ministry team for about 60 – 90 minutes. The time will be spent listening and praying with you to experience and grow in greater freedom.

We ask that you be prepared for the session in the following ways:

  1. Pray to the Holy Spirit for guidance and read the first seven chapters of the book Unbound by Neal Lozano (approx. 120 pages), as well as the questions on the final two pages of this document. Make a list of any areas of bondage that arise as you read and reflect.
  2. (For Catholics) please go to confession within a week or two before your prayer session, especially bringing anything from the last page to confession.
  3. Offer some sort of fast (perhaps bread and water for a day, or fast for a day like it’s Ash Wednesday/Good Friday).
  4. Make room for some additional prayer time, such as a daily rosary, attending an extra Mass during the week, spending time with Scripture (like John 11:1-44), or making an extra visit to the Blessed Sacrament.

You will be taught how to use the Five Keys described in UNBOUND. Experiencing freedom from spiritual bondages and burdens which are hidden in darkness requires a willingness to be honest, a commitment to trust in the Lord, and a deep desire to be free. Learning to use the Five Keys in your life following our prayer session will be crucial to your continued healing.

We are unfortunately not equipped to offer ongoing support to those we minister to. This is not meant to take the place of professional counseling or medical treatment, and you will not be asked to stop such treatments. It is important, however, that individuals who are searching for spiritual healing live, as best as possible, a solid spiritual life. This includes daily prayer, Sunday worship, and, for Catholics, regular use of the sacrament of confession (monthly or as needed).

If you are living in an irregular union outside the sacrament of matrimony, we encourage you to work with your pastors to find a resolution. It is imperative for your freedom that any use of occult practices cease immediately (see appendix 1 of Unbound). Please inform the prayer leader of any history of such and/or any current practices or items related to the occult or new-age spiritualities. The prayer team is trained to help you break the power of spiritual influences which can be obstacles to healing.

Everyone on our Unbound Joliet Ministry Team will do our very best to ensure that what you share in your Unbound session will be strictly confidential. However, because prayer ministry is not the same thing as confession, it is important that you are aware of two limitations to our confidentiality.

First, any disclosure that gives the team reason to believe that a child who is presently under 18 years of age has been abused will have to be reported to the civil authorities for everyone’s well-being.

Second, if any of our team members have reason to believe that you or another person is presently in serious danger because of information you have shared, or that dangerous criminal activity could be prevented, they may break confidentiality to act for your safety or the safety of others. We want to keep your story in confidence and help you to find freedom in the love of God.

There is no charge for any prayer sessions. However, if you would like to support our ongoing Unbound ministry, you can make a donation to https://gamechangersfts.org/donate/ or write a check made out to Game Changers FTS with the memo “Unbound Joliet”, and bring it with you to your day of prayer.

May the Lord grant you peace as you prepare to meet Him in His mercy and grace.

Sincerely in Christ,
Unbound Joliet Ministry Team

What is Unbound?

What is an Unbound Ministry Session?

Freely you have received; freely give.

Matthew 10:1

Jesus wants to set us free.

What He wants from us is to want to be free from the big and small bondages in our lives.

Sometimes we want to get free from our big slaveries, but not the small ones.

“Do I have to give that up, do you really want me to bring that to you? That’s okay isn’t it? That is just small?”

God wants to break all of our chains. He wants us to surrender all of it to Him.

We can’t do it on our own. We do it only by His grace. But He wants us to decide that we want to be free.

“Lord I want to be free. Lord, I want to give You my whole life. I don’t want to hold onto my small bondages or my big ones. I want to give it to You. Help me Lord. Show me the areas of my life that are still bound by darkness. I say yes to Your freedom. I say yes to Your truth. I say yes to You, Jesus. Amen.”
