Dear Friends,
I come to you with mixed emotions with the news I must share. After much prayer and consideration, Allyson and I have made the difficult decision to relocate to the St. Louis area to be closer to our granddaughters.
While this was something we had pondered for some time, especially now that Allyson is retired, we never thought it would happen this quickly. However, as God often does, opportunities presented themselves and doors opened that we were not expecting. When so many things were aligned for us, we were then faced with the tough decision.
Our Lady of Mercy has been our spiritual home for the past 36 years. My family has been blessed to be a part of this parish since its inception. We were among the original 58 families who helped to establish this parish, and it has been truly heartwarming to witness its growth into the beautiful church building and vibrant parish it is today.
While we are excited about this new chapter in our lives, we will miss the wonderful people and the sense of community we have grown to love here. We are unsure what the future holds, and whether we will return but God seems to always have a way of surprising us.
One thing is certain: Our Lady of Mercy will always be home to me and hold a special place in my heart and prayers. I am especially grateful to all our pastors for the opportunity to serve the people of this parish.

Thank you for your love, support, and prayers.
